The Great Plains
Alliance
for Computers and Writing invites scholars, teachers, and administrators
of all disciplines and grade
levels, along with instructional technology experts and graduate students
in relevant fields, to register for the
3rd Annual GPACW
Conference, to be held Saturday, February 26th and Sunday, February 27th,
at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. The theme is "Computers
and Writing: A Creative Fusion."
Because we are
holding the GPACW Conference concurrently with the John R. Milton Writers
Conference, a regional literature conference with this year's focus on
Siouxland novelist Frederick Manfred, we will "share" some of the sessions
and resources. Participants who register for the GPACW conference will be
able to attend sessions for either conference.
Two continental breakfasts, two lunches, and a banquet will be included as
part of the
$36 registration fee (the fee helps to cover some of the expenses of the
conference). Michael
Joyce, the
"father of hypertext fiction," will be the keynote speaker at our banquet.
Note: USD faculty/staff/students pay no registration fee but must pay
$6 if they wish to attend the banquet.
