Prospective Students

The University of South Dakota's Office of Financial Aid administers a comprehensive program of federal, state and institutional aid.  With more than 90 percent of all USD students receiving some form of financial assistance, we encourage you to apply for financial aid early and prior to USD priority deadline of March 15.

Visit Applying for Aid for more information on getting started with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Current Undergraduates

If you applied for financial aid in the previous year, the Office of Financial Aid will notify you in January how to apply for aid in the coming year.  If you do not receive information about how to apply, you should contact the Office of Financial Aid in early February.

Remember, you must complete a new FAFSA for each academic year that you wish to receive aid.
