|Sandra Kern Mollman
Sandra Kern Mollman is a theatre artist, playwright, composer, and instructor of theatre at the University of South Dakota. Her primary areas of interest include devised theatre and community-based theatre production. Kern Mollman is currently developing curriculum for learning centered teaching in theatre courses for non-theatre majors. Her produced musical plays for young audiences include On the Road to Bremen Town and Imagine Nation. She also collaborates with communities and individuals, creating and telling stories using theatre arts as the means for expression.
Kern Mollman attended Berklee College of Music and received her Bachelor of General Studies, emphasis in Music and Literature, from the University of Nebraska, Omaha. She received her Master of Arts in English, Creative Writing from the University of South Dakota. Ms. Kern Mollman has studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Atlantic Theatre Company in NYC, and at the Practical Aesthetics Workshop in Burlington, VT. She has worked as a theatre artist in many venues including The Omaha Theatre Company for Young People, The Blue Barn Theatre, and the Briget St. Briget Theatre in Omaha, Nebraska, the Utah Musical Theatre in Ogden, Utah, the Black Hills Playhouse and the University of South Dakota.
