poker and the meaning of life

Utilizing, Poker Nation, Psychology Professor Doug Peterson (pictured above) and FYE coordinator Steve Ward combine their knowledge of psychology, history, sociology, and statistics to provide and entertaining and informative look at the popular card game.  In addition, students in the course will organize and run a live poker tournament to raise money for a charity of their choosing.

As of April 25, 2008, the Poker and the Meaning of Life Network has filled.  If you wish to be placed on a waitlist for this network, simply indicate that desire in the comments section of the FYE Application.  Other networks that may be of interest, include: Spirituality, Deconstructing Dunder Miflin, Popular Culture, Careers and Pop Culture.
