Principal Fields for Specialization and Research:

Graduate students are encouraged to design individually tailored programs of study to meet their career goals. Courses are offered through both the Department of Communication Studies and the Department of Contemporary Media and Journalism.

Required Test for Admission:

GRE or other graduate entrance exam.

Required Supplemental Application Materials:

• 15 credit hours of Communication Studies/related discipline coursework
• 2-4 page personal statement

Application Deadline:

Students may enter the program in the Fall or Spring semester.  Applications are reviewed year-round. 

The priority deadline for Fall and Fall graduate assistantships is February 1st.

The priority deadline for Spring and Spring graduate assistantships is October 1st.
