This is a call for papers for the Eleventh Annual Meeting of the Great Plains Political Science Association. The Great Plains Political Science Association was created in 1997 to promote the study of political science and public affairs. The Association has been particularly interested in supporting academic study of these topics and does so through its annual conference that serves as a forum for both faculty and student presentations, faculty development and public affairs workshops.
In the past, the Association has held its conference in the spring of each year. This year will mark a change in the timing of the conference as it will now be held in early fall. The 11th Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in Cedar Falls, IA on September 27, 2008 (Saturday).
Please note that this conference will serve as a substitute for the conference originally scheduled to be held back in March at the University of Mary, Bismarck, North Dakota. For those of you who submitted papers to this conference we highly encourage to resubmit your papers for the conference this fall at UNI. As with past conferences, the Association invites papers on a broad range of political science research.
Student papers submitted in advance of the conference will be eligible to compete for the GPPSA Best Undergraduate Student Paper Award ($50 prize) and Best Graduate Student Paper Award ($50 prize).
