About Us

Our national prominence is shown through our designation as a Center of Excellence and our inclusion in a quality and safety education pilot project.

Nursing Simulation

Center of Excellence

In 2004, the National League of Nursing designated our Associate Degree program a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education for "creating environments that enhance student learning and professional development." At that time, we were one of three inaugural programs in the country to receive this designation. It was renewed for another five-year term in 2010.

QSEN Project

We also were one of 15 programs throughout the country to be selected as a pilot school for the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) project. As part of the project, our faculty are leaders in quality and safety education through curricular reform, simulation and clinical teaching.
