Bio:
Assistant professor of nursing at the University of South Dakota. Employed as registered nurse at Sanford Vermillion Hospital. Currently enrolled in PhD program at South Dakota State University with an expected date of graduation 2015.
Teaching Interests:
Complex Client Care (N286) and Community Health. Initiated Rosebud Clinical Field Experience practicum for USD nursing students to increase cultural competency.
Research Interests:
Transforming student nurses through intensive training in cultural competency and community clinicals. Also health care disparities. Another research interest is integrative therapies (meditation, energy work) in end-of-life care.
