Bio:
Barbara has been an active nurse educator for 13 years, since 1987 teaching both in the traditional classroom and in the online environment. She has held leadership roles both as Assistant/Director of Nursing, Director of both Quality & Risk Management and Health Information Technology for a rural hospital, nursing home, and clinic complex from 1993 - 2002. She holds expertise in continuous quality improvement, geriatric nursing, and infection control.
Teaching Interests:
Medical/Surgical Nursing, Geriatric Nursing, Nursing Leadership/Management, NCLEX-preparation, providing tutoring support to disadvantaged students. Simulation
Research Interests:
NCLEX success techniques, learning outcome measurements in simulation.
