Bio:
Kathy served 17 years in nursing leadership and administration before coming to The University of South Dakota as Director of the Distance Nursing Campus and leading the first nursing course to the online environment in 2001. In 2009, Kathy and her team were awarded a $5 million Department of Labor grant to serve transitioning veterans and entry level healthcare workers with the opportunity to access nursing education throughout six states.
Teaching Interests:
Leadership/management and medical/surgical nursing.
Research Interests:
Online teaching strategies, NCLEX preparation strategies, and successful online student characteristics.
