Bio:
I have been a nursing instructor in the ADN program at USD since 2008. I am currently in graduate school in the nurse educator track with an expected graduation in December 2011. My clinical practice areas of expertise are medical/surgical and geriatrics.
Teaching Interests:
My teaching interests include dimensional analysis and adult medical/surgical nursing. I also have an interest in teaching nursing skills to the beginning student.
Research Interests:
Clinical nursing education evidence-based teaching strategies; Evaluating clinical judgment in the clinical learning environment; Preparing the staff nurse for the preceptor or adjunct instructor role (Master' thesis focus)
