Sioux Falls Campus Update
Ms. Serfling joined the USD Sioux Falls nursing faculty spring 2012. She completed her undergraduate and graduate work at South Dakota State University. Ms. Serfling says "I have always enjoyed teaching and mentoring others in my role as a nurse. Because I was drawn to teaching, I specialized in nursing education for my master's degree. Her master's thesis was entitled, "A Pilot Test of Delegation and Prioritization in New Graduate Nurses using Multiple Patient Simulation." Prior to accepting a full time faculty position at USD, Ms. Serfling taught as a USD clinical instructor. She practiced seven years as a staff nurse at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center where she cared for patients with acute and chronic cardiac and pulmonary conditions and also worked in the ER.
