Bio:
Dr. Cross graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2002 with an entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD). Following graduation, she has practiced in multiple settings in both rural and urban areas including acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, home health, and long-term care. Dr. Cross joined the USD OT faculty in 2009. In addition to her instructional role, she is also the Student Occupational Therapy Association faculty advisor, the OT Department Admissions Chair, and the OT Department Scholarship Chair.
Teaching Interests:
Areas of instruction include preparatory methods such as splinting and physical agent modalities; physical and psychosocial conditions; kinesiology; activity analysis and human development from adulthood through old age; assisting with ergonomic assessments.
Research Interests:
Dr. Cross' primary research interest is in supporting health and wellness in old age.
