t-DPT Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy (t-DPT), you must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a current license to practice Physical Therapy
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Physical Therapist Education (CAPTE) or foreign trained with current PT licensure in the United States (in good standing)
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7
- Meet one of the following:

- Hold a Certificate in Physical Therapy plus a Bachelor's degree in select field plus 20 years of experience in the field of PT
-OR- - Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy plus 10 years experience in the field of PT
-OR- - Possess a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy plus two years of experience in the field of PT
- Hold a Certificate in Physical Therapy plus a Bachelor's degree in select field plus 20 years of experience in the field of PT
**Students accepted into the t-DPT program will need to complete a background check. A log-in will be provided by the Graduate School upon provisional acceptance into the program.
