Addressing the Needs of South Dakota

Two faculty members of the Social Work program have been accepted into national research and leadership development programs.
 
Both opportunities will help develop capacity of the Department of Social Work and School of Health Sciences to address the needs of older adults in South Dakota.

 

Elizabeth Talbot  Dr. Elizabeth Talbot, Associate Professor and MSW Program Director was accepted into the 2011-2012 class of the Leadership Academy in Aging, a partnership between the New York Academy of Medicine's Social Work Leadership Institute, the National Association of Deans and Directors of Social Work, and the Hartford Foundation.  


Peter Kindle 

Dr. Peter Kindle, Assistant Professor, was invited to be in the 2011 class of the Institute on Aging and Social Work through the National Institute on Aging.
