Prerequisites for MSW Program

You must obtain a bachelor or graduate degree from an accredited college or university for full admission to our program. Individuals holding a bachelor degree in social work within the last seven years from an accredited CSWE program may request consideration for advanced standing (Advanced Standing will not be offered until fall 2011).

Cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, for the last two years of undergraduate study, or demonstration that you are able to maintain a 3.0 in graduate study is required. This can be demonstrated if a student has successfully completed two or more graduate courses. Prerequisite Courses (Must have a C or better in all prerequisites)

Human biology content required.  Acceptable Courses:  Biology 105, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology course with Human Biology content from any university.




Human Lifespan Development



Three Additional Courses in the Social/Behavioral Sciences


Ex: Anthropology, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, History, Human Relations

*Deficits in any of these areas will not prohibit admission; however, the course(s) would need to be completed prior to beginning the program with documentation of completion provided.
