How many Newtons are in a Fig Newton?

If a regulation sized Fig Newton, which weights 0.029kg, was dropped from your mouth, it would posses a force of 0.28 Newtons, as long as you were on Earth.  Therefore for us Earthlings there are about three tenths of a Newton in a Fig Newton.

Did Newton prefer carrots or tomatoes?

Due to Newton's interests in alchemy, he spent most of his time searching for a vegetable spirit.  He would have preferred carrots because tomatoes are actually a fruit.  Newton's ideas about vegetation come from a principle in alchemy of which a main element is vegetation (this term comes from the Latin word vegetare - to animate). We really don't know his vegetable preferences.

How did Newton discover gravity?

Prior to contrary belief, an apple did NOT fall on Newton's head.  Instead, at the age of six, Newton believed he could fly. When he attempted flight by jumping out of his third-story bedroom, he quickly discovered that something was pulling him down. Just kidding! Newton actually explained to one of his friends that there is a reason that apples fall straight to the earth (gravity), rather than sideways.
