2000 PROGRAM


The Oscar Howe Summer Art Institute accepts a maximum of fifteen participants each year. All participants are awarded a full scholarship which pays for tuition, room and board, and basic art supplies.

Participants are selected in two ways:

 

NOMINATION

Participants may be nominated by educators, artists, or other interested parties. Nominations should be made in the form of a letter to the address below and include a brief explanation of why the nominee should be accepted into the Institute and how they may be contacted. Nominees will then be invited to provide further information about themselves and some examples of their art.

 

SPONSORSHIP

Participants may be sponsored by an arts or other organization willing to provide a $250 scholarship who meets the above eligibility. Potential sponsors are requested to contact the organizers of the Oscar Howe Summer Art Institute for further information.

 

DEADLINE

Nominations and sponsorships are due by April 20, 2001. To nominate/sponsor a participant or to obtain more information about the Oscar Howe Summer Art Institute, contact:
