Administration on Aging
AoA's "Elder Page" site contains many resources for the elderly. There is a large nationwide searchable directory to 230 national and local agencies, health associations, and organizations as well as a large compilation of general and statistical materials on-line.

American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging
The mission of the ABA Commission on Law and Aging is to strengthen and secure the legal rights, dignity, autonomy, quality of life, and quality of care of elders. It carries out this mission through research, policy development, technical assistance, advocacy, education, and training.

Center for Medicare Advocacy
The Center for Medicare Advocacy is a private, non-profit organization staffed by attorneys, paralegals, nurses, and computer specialists. Although the organization provides direct representation only for residents of Connecticut, it also offers legal advice, information, and advocacy for Medicare beneficiaries nationwide. The Center produces a wide array of written material to assist Medicare beneficiaries and their advocates - including self-help packets, brochures, and a quarterly newsletter. In addition, the Center is involved in education, policy making, and litigation of importance to Medicare beneficiaries throughout the country.

Findlaw
Findlaw is almost certainly the most comprehensive legal information site online.

HIEROS GAMOS
This site claims to contain "100,000+ links, 9,000 automatic searches, tens of thousands of pages of original content, hundreds of hours of seminars, etc." Although this site is more appropriate for Elder law attorneys, it holds a lot of good information for the average consumer.

National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA)
The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. (NAELA) is a professional association of attorneys who are dedicated to improving the quality of legal services provided to the elderly. The primary focus of the Academy is education; however, the Academy also seeks to provide support to other organizations serving the elderly. Additionally, NAELA examines and advocates on public policy issues facing the elderly, but does not provide direct legal services. If you are seeking legal advice, please contact an elder law attorney in your community.

National Health Law Program (NHeLP)
The National Health Law Program is a national public interest law firm that seeks to improve health care for America's working and unemployed poor, minorities, the elderly and people with disabilities. NHeLP serves legal services programs, community-based organizations, the private bar, providers and individuals who work to preserve a health care safety net for the millions of uninsured or underinsured low-income people.

National Senior Citizens Law Center
The National Senior Citizens Law Center advocates nationwide to promote the independence and well-being of low-income elderly individuals and persons with disabilities. As a national support center, NSCLC advocates through litigation, legislative and agency representation and assistance to attorneys and paralegals in field programs. NSCLC's functions vary with the needs of our clients. NSCLC maintains a national reputation for professional quality and successful advocacy.

Trial Lawyers for Public Justice
Trial Lawyers for Public Justice is the only public interest law firm dedicated to using trial lawyers' skills and resources to advance the public good. Founded in 1982 at Ralph Nader's urging, TLPJ utilizes a network of the nation's outstanding trial lawyers to pursue precedent-setting and socially significant litigation. TLPJ has a wide-ranging litigation docket in the areas of toxic torts, environmental protection, consumer rights, worker safety, civil rights and liberties, and access to the civil justice system. TLPJ is the principal project of The TLPJ Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation and membership organization, with over 2,700 members.
