Mike Myers

  • Professor Michael J. Myers continues to build the service dimension of his Elderlaw course by managing the nation's only law school-based senior legal helpline through which he provides pro bono information, advice, and limited representation to persons 55 and older. He also broadcasts a weekly radio program and writes a  weekly newspaper column, both entitled "The Elderlaw Forum."  He has also written a book entitled "The Mayo Clinic and Blue Eyes," a compilation of 80 columns from his weekly newspaper column. 
  • Professor Myers is on the elderlaw circuit, with book signings and lectures on Intelligent Aging. 
  • Professor Myers holds a joint appointment with the USD School of Business where he teaches health economics, healthcare finance and health law and bio-ethics.  He has plans to introduce an online graduate course entitled "Financial Management of Long-Term Care" as part of a long-term care certificate program at the Business School. Student research papers from his classes are posted to his Elderlaw Forum website.
