on Indian Law

                               October 2008 USD NALSA Moot Court Competition results:
                                   Best Advocates: Brooke Swier, McLean Thompson
                                   Best Brief: Lisa Slepnikoff, Abby Vandenberg
                                   Best Oralist: Brooke Swier

The problem was authored by Erik Evans '08, Federal Law Clerk, and focused on the issue of recognition of tribal entities at the state level.  The competition was held at the Law School on Oct. 24th-25th. Judges of oral argument included private practitioners with experience arguing before tribal courts, tribal counsel, and the Attorney General of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe.
