Our University Libraries (I.D. Weeks building including former Lommen Health Sciences collections) provide access to, and assistance in, locating and using high quality information and resources regardless of format where, when, and how you need them. We are a customer-driven organization that prizes a high-touch service ethic that is constantly adapting to changes in the information, research, publishing, higher education, and student learning environment. Libraries have traditionally served as a repository for books and other physical materials, but now that resources are increasingly available online and remotely, the role of the academic library is changing. We invite you to get help from our variety of services available online: library catalog, book renewals and holds, databases, e-books, interlibrary loan/document delivery, subject guides (LibGuides), podcasts/tutorials, email reference, IM reference, and EndNote citation management software.
There is much to attract you to our building, the heart of the USD campus. In addition to the physical materials you need to support research activities, you'll find research assistance from our subject specialist library faculty, casual reading materials, comfortable seating areas for both quiet and collaborative study, food and drink, and a warm and welcoming environment accented by art, exhibits, and events.
