Electronic Journals

It is at times difficult to find full-text electronic journal articles online. Many electronic journals provide only Tables of Contents or Abstracts to their articles. While it is worth examining these sites because valuable information can be acquired from them, you must remember that many online journals require that you purchase a subscription to them before you are allowed access to their contents.

Electronic Journals and Periodicals gives a long list of online publications and tells if they give only general information, a table of contents, abstracts, or full-text. It also has Online Bibliographies of other resources.

Links to Psychology Journals by Armin Guenther is truly awesome in scope. Many of the journals listed provide tables of contents although only a few provide full-text articles.

The American Medical Association's Archives of General Psychiatry lets you view the Table of Contents of its most recent issue. From the Table of Contents you can view the abstracts and, in some cases, the full-text of articles. You can also Search the JAMA/Archives by Authors, Title, or Subjects.
