Goal of the Instruction
Program
The instruction
librarians at I.D. Weeks Library assist students, staff and faculty
in learning how to take advantage of the library's information resources.
Classrooms in I.D. Weeks Library
I. D. Weeks Library has
two classrooms: an electronic classroom that allows students hands-on
experience during an instructional session; and a smart classroom (overhead
projector and one computer). If you are faculty or staff, you may reserve
one of our classrooms for your own use OR you may request the instruction
services of a librarian.
Communication
Center
Do you need help with research, writing, and speaking assignments? Many of your
classes require you to do research and prepare written and oral reports.
The Communication Center, located in Room 205 of the I.D. Weeks Library,
is fully staffed with experts in English, Speech Communication and Information
Literacy. These teachers are ready
to guide you through research and evaluation of sources, to grammar, delivery,
PowerPoint, and source citation. The
Communication Center is available to every student at the University, and is
open from 7:00 to 10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday evenings.
