Online Catalog. Finding books in the I.D. Weeks Library

Earth Science materials can be easily located by using the Library's catalog PALS. A web version of PALS is available through the library's homepage. Access: http://www.usd.edu/library/ Click library catalog on the tool bar. Select WEBPALS from the box. Materials can be searched by either keyword(s) or Library of Congress Subject Heading (most specific). PALS also provides access to over 30 other libraries in the South Dakota.

Finding Periodical Articles in the Library

Periodical titles held by I.D. Weeks Library can be identified by using the Online Catalog.

Location of Periodicals in the Library: Current issues of periodicals are kept in the reading area, north side of the 2nd floor, while older issues (bound periodicals) are available on the east side of the 2nd floor. The periodical collections are arranged alphabetically by title.

I.D. Weeks Library Map Collection

The Library's map collection is located on the 3rd floor, south-east corner.
The Library is a selective depository for U.S.G.S. topographic sheets in the scales of 24,000 and 100,000 for Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
