Dr. Goodman is currently concentrating her scholarly efforts on improving science education and teaching at the kindergarten through medical school levels. She is actively involved in presenting workshops and writing curricula for students and teachers using inquiry-based science teaching. In addition, she is encouraging and using more active learning and innovative teaching methods in all of her classes. Therefore, she can be an excellent resource for students who are beginning to teach. She is not currently involved in laboratory research.
