Parent Education and Support Sessions
The Center for Disabilities and South Dakota Parent Connection present Parent Education and Support Session each month during the school year. These sessions cover a variety of topics and are offered via the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) at sites in Rapid City, Salem and Sioux Falls and are also offered live via the Internet. The Self-Directed Futures project's goal is to develop an accessible online curriculum for high school students with significant intellectual disabilities that will enable them to self-direct their own employment activities and improve post-school outcomes. SibShops are for children ages 6 to 12 years and who have a sibling with a disability or a chronic health concern. SibShops provide a time for sharing, friendship, activities and learning together.
