Community Service

Service is one of the three pillars of our mission.


We value service not just for altruistic reasons. A 2002 study showed that medical students who serve others are more likely to pursue a career in primary care medicine. In this way, the entire State of South Dakota benefits because primary care physicians are in great demand.
