Purpose
  • Help high school students pursue a future in health care by exploring a range of career options and learning about important issues in health care
Who's Eligible?
  • Incoming 10th, 11th and 12th grade students from South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska
Required
  • An interest in health care as a profession
Cost
  • Tuition is $100 per student
  • Scholarship and transportation are available for students needing assistance
  • Meals, lodging and all educational and recreational activities are included
Lodging and Meals
  • Campers will reside in the residence halls at The University of South Dakota in Vermillion
  • Meals are provided in the campus dining hall
Curriculum
  • Interaction with health care professionals
  • Medical demonstrations
  • Field trips to area medical facilities
  • Group activities and discussions
