Purpose
- Help high school students pursue a future in health care by exploring a range of career options and learning about important issues in health care
Who's Eligible?
- Incoming 10th, 11th and 12th grade students from South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa and northeast Nebraska
Required
- An interest in health care as a profession
Cost
- Tuition is $100 per student
- Scholarship and transportation are available for students needing assistance
- Meals, lodging and all educational and recreational activities are included
Lodging and Meals
- Campers will reside in the residence halls at The University of South Dakota in Vermillion
- Meals are provided in the campus dining hall
Curriculum
- Interaction with health care professionals
- Medical demonstrations
- Field trips to area medical facilities
- Group activities and discussions
