Scholarships
We have achieved a four-fold increase in scholarships since 2002 thanks to your support.
We continue to make increasing scholarships a priority. Our mission includes making medical school affordable for all in South Dakota, and we are working hard to make sure financial need is not a barrier to becoming a doctor. Boosting scholarships also reduces student debt, giving our graduates a greater ability to pursue family medicine, which pays more modestly than specialties.
We celebrate all of our scholarships at an annual dinner each May. It's a great way for donors to learn from the students themselves how much the scholarships mean.
