VERMILLION, S.D. -- Sixteen high school sophomores and juniors from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota are attending the 2008 Summer Accounting Institute at The University of South Dakota this week.
Under the direction of Angela Olson, MPA, CPA, an instructor of accounting and finance at USD, the four-day symposium will address educational, career exploration, professional and social aspects of accounting, including field trips to a public accounting firm and additional businesses as well as various classroom activities. Social and team activities will also be incorporated throughout the Institute, which began today.
