VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota will host the 2009 ESL Summer Institute July 6 through July 31.
Sponsored by USD's Department of English ESL Program, the ESL Summer Institute attracts students from around the world annually for an intensive four-week course designed to improve English communication skills. Under the guidance of a professional staff, classes are Monday through Friday for international students and non-native English-speakers looking to strengthen their English language skills. The 2009 ESL Summer Institute is ideal for individuals taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam, seeking career advancement or for personal growth.
The ESL Summer Institute includes helpful one-on-one tutoring and assists university-bound students in all aspects of preparation for the TOEFL exam. This summertime program also provides opportunities for participants to explore the diverse culture and countryside of the Midwest. The ESL Summer Institute is open to adults 18 years and older (exceptions possible for high school students with legal guardians) and is available to provide English study opportunities for groups of students 17-years and under.
