VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota Pre-Med Society will host its fourth annual Pre-Med Day, Saturday, April 24, at the Andrew E. Lee Memorial Medicine and Science Building.
Participants will have an opportunity to listen to presentations by Sanford School of Medicine faculty and staff members, including admissions, financial aid representatives, current medical students as well as Sanford School of Medicine alumni physicians.
The schedule of events begins with registration from 9:30 to 10 a.m. followed by a welcome by USD Pre-Med Society officers. An admissions process presentation at 10:05 a.m. will feature Dr. Paul Bunger, dean of Medical Student Affairs, and Jill Christopherson, Medical School Admissions, precedes a Medical School Student Panel at 11 a.m. Afternoon sessions include a Physician & Medical School Faculty Panel followed by an Introduction to Gross Anatomy and a tour of the medical school.

The Pre-Med Society assists students interested in pursuing medical careers by increasing their knowledge of various fields and by helping them to form valuable connections with other students of similar interests as well as Med School faculty members.
