VERMILLION, S.D. -- The science and future of the Missouri River will be explored during the 2011 Missouri River Institute Research Symposium at The University of South Dakota on Thursday, April 21.
Beginning at 9 a.m., posters and presentations documenting Missouri River research will be featured at the Al Neuharth Media Center. Individuals interested in Missouri River issues are encouraged to join researchers from the university and other academic institutions, as well as federal, state and local organizations for discussion of the science, history and policy of the Missouri River. Organizations contributing to the symposium include the National Park Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missouri River Futures and The Nature Conservancy.
Faculty and students from USD, South Dakota State University and Virginia Tech University will present their research through lectures beginning at 9 a.m. All presentations are free and open to the public.
