The animation on the left shows the two waves from the example done in class. The red is wave 1, the blue is wave 2.
The animation on the right shows the result from adding the two waves together. Note: You should be able to see a point where the string is flat. Also, the time scale is different on the two. The addition one is running more slowly and for a shorter period of time.
