Beacom School of Business at The U hosts author, entrepreneur Jim Houtz for lecture series program

VERMILLION, S.D. -- Jim Houtz, a 1958 graduate of The University of South Dakota and a renowned entrepreneur in the health information marketplace, will present the November Dean’s Lecture Series program at noon on Friday, Nov. 6 in the first floor auditorium at Beacom Hall.
 
Following his graduation from USD, Houtz worked at IBM for several years before becoming a health systems information entrepreneur. He was one of the first to introduce electronic management information systems to the medical segment of the economy. Houtz is also the author of the book, “Seize the American Dream.” His lecture is free and open to the public.
