USD Med School honors students, faculty with awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota and the medical school’s Alumni Relations Council honored the following individuals for their outstanding dedication at the Alumni Banquet on Friday, May 6:
 

Satish Koneru Award for Excellence in Physiology

Katherine Hutchinson, MS I, of Onida, S.D.

 

George Rinker Award for Excellence in Anatomy

Jessica Pearson, MS I, Fort Pierre, S.D.

 

Class of 1958 Basic Science Faculty Award

Daniel Bird, Ph.D., instructor, Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences

 

Class of 1983 Clinical Faculty Award

Laurie Landeen, M.D., clinical professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

 

Warren L. Jones, M.D., Class of 1954 Faculty Award

Jerome Freeman, M.D., professor and chair of the Department of Neurosciences

 

2011 Distinguished Alumni Award

Richard Holm, ’73, M.D., professor, Department of Internal Medicine
