USD M.B.A. named ‘Rising Star’ by FindyourMBA.com for second straight year

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Master of Business Administration program at the Beacom School of Business at the University of South Dakota is a “Rising Star” according to FindyourMBA.com, which ranks the Beacom School of Business M.B.A. No. 17 out of 35 of the top business schools globally.

This is the second consecutive year that USD’s Master of Business Administration program gets Rising Stars consideration from FindyourMBA.com. The website cites USD’s Beacom School of Business for providing “a first-rate learning environment for both on campus and distance students.”

Rising Stars ranks 35 of the top business schools internationally – degree offerings that made significant steps in recent years based on noteworthy improvements, current data and plans of the future. The Grenoble Graduate School of Business received FindyourMBA.com’s highest Rising Stars 2012 ranking. The complete 2012 list is available at www.findyourmba.com/fymba-rising-stars-2012-mba-ranking.

The Beacom School of Business, which remains the only business program in South Dakota accredited by the Association to Advance College Schools of Business (AACSB) International, is the lone business school from the Great Plains region to be represented on the Rising Stars list. The ranking criteria is based on several factors, including current data and plans of the future, forum activity, internet activity among M.B.A. students, the political climate, long term investments of business schools and their strategic choices.
