USD to host Wire Me Awake Conference for professionals and students in the region

VERMILLION, S.D. -- Area professionals and students are invited to participate in the Wire Me Awake Conference on Wednesday, March 5 at the Muenster University Center on the campus of the University of South Dakota. The conference features dynamic speakers on a variety of topics, informative breakout sessions geared toward various interests in business and a student pitch competition.

Speakers include Jeffrey Hayzlett, a change agent focused on leadership, innovation, and change management to drive business growth; Jenny Blake, a bestselling author, career and business coach, and international speaker; and Dario Meli, and entrepreneur and global connector. Each speaker brings a dynamic perspective to entrepreneurship and business development.

Afternoon breakout sessions include topics like attracting new entrepreneurs, engaging students in entrepreneurship, commercialization, compliance, and fostering collaboration to name a few. Tailor track sessions to meet the needs of your specific business interests.

The student pitch competition offers students the chance to pitch their ideas in an elevator pitch competition. First place takes home $4,000. Second place wins $3,000, third $2,000, and fourth $1,000. Remaining qualifiers receive $50.
