Returning Students
Degree Seeking Students
If you previously attended The University of South Dakota and you now intend to reenter the system as a degree-seeking student, you must reapply for admission:
- Former undergraduate students seeking reentry to The U should contact the Office of Admissions and complete the undergraduate automatic reentry form. Half-day registration sessions specific to re-admit and transfer students are available prior to each semester.
- Former graduate students seeking reentry should contact the Graduate Office.
Non-Degree Seeking Students
If you previously attended The University of South Dakota and discontinued your enrollment, and you now intend to return as a non-degree-seeking student, you must reapply for admission and register for classes as a special student. Federal Financial Aid is not available to special students. Please follow the registration guidelines for prospective non-degree-seeking students.
Welcome back! Register as a returning or former student if you are resuming your studies after being away from The U.
