Compliance means abiding by all applicable regulations and University policies when conducting research.
Compliance is the responsibility of the individual researcher. The Office of Research Compliance is a resource to assist you in understanding the rules, and to provide you with the tools needed for compliance.
In addition to providing training and resources on compliance, the Office of Research Compliance also conducts regular audit of research, to ensure that all applicable regulations and policies are being followed. If an instance of non-compliance is found, we work cooperatively with the researcher to get the project back into compliance, and to make all required legal notifications.
