NMM 2653. Clarinet in E-flat by Graves & Co., Winchester, New Hampshire, ca. 1835. Four sections. Stamped on barrel, top joint, and two places on bottom joint: GRAVES & Co / WINCHESTER / N. H.; on bell: [eagle] / GRAVES & Co / WINCHESTER / N. H. / Eb. Boxwood, ivory ferrules. Five brass keys with flat, round key covers; springs attached to keys mounted in round rings. Upper joint mounting rings, bottom joint stock bulge, and bottom ring reinforced with pins. Cranked left-hand f# / c#2 key. Length (top of barrel to bottom of bell), 441.5 mm. Arne B.
