NMM 3144. Flute in C (high pitch) by C. G. Conn, Elkhart, ca. 1902. Serial no. 5448. Wonder line. Boehm system, closed hole, C foot. Two sections. Engraved on socket: -MADE BY- / C. G. CONN / ELKHART-IND.; stamped on body below socket and under G-sharp key: 5448; stamped on rib nearest head joint socket: H. Nickel-plated body and end cap. Ebonite head joint, index finger rest, and crutch, all with inlaid, mother-of-pearl dots. Sixteen nickel-plated keys. Closed G-sharp key; G trill key; B trill key; no B-flat lever. Total length, 26" (660 mm). W. Wayne Sorensen Collection, 1982.
