Two Flutes by Richard Potter, ca. 1750-1770 Richard Potter (1726-1806) was one of the most important flute makers in late 18th-century London. After completing his apprenticeship and employment as a journeyman, he established his own shop shortly after 1750. These two flutes are representative examples of Richard Potter's early period of flute production, prior to the late 1760s, when Potter began signing his flutes POTTER / SENIOR.
