Connecting to USD Network

To maintain a safe computing environment for everyone, personal computers connect to the USD network via Cisco Clean Access Agent. The Cisco Clean Access Agent will ensure that your computer has the required anti-virus software and up-to-date security patches.

Before Bringing Your Computer to Campus

Ensure your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements.

Remove your anti-virus software

Install USD's anti-virus software

Install applicable security patches

USD's anti-virus software is available to all students, faculty and staff at no charge, and can be downloaded from the link provided above. Your USD username and password are required to complete the download.

Wireless Access

Wireless access is provided in various areas throughout campus. All computers will access USD's wireless network via the Clean Access Client. To ensure a more secure connection, your computer will need to be configured before connecting to USD's wireless network for the first time.

Wireless configuration instructions:

Personal networking devices, such as routers, hubs, etc. are not authorized on campus as per the SDBOR Acceptable Use Policy.
