Computer Requirements

Below are the requirements for connecting a computer to the campus network. For steps on connecting your personal computer to the USD network, view our short instructional video.

All computers must meet the minimum requirements to connect to the USD network. If purchasing a new computer, ITS recommends exceeding those minimum requirements for optimum performance.

Requirements may change at any time. Please refer to this page before making any computer purchases.

Some academic programs will require a laptop or tablet computer. To ensure you have a computer that will meet your academic needs, please review the Academic Requirements.
