It is our desire to help students have the best computing environment possible while at USD. To help accomplish this we have established the following personal computer support levels.
Ultimate Computer Support
Ultimate computer support is the highest level of support available to students, and takes precedence over all other levels of support.
Requirements & Eligibility:- Computer must be one of the recommended professional/business grade computers
- Warranty period has not expired
- Active student status
- Virus/Malicious software removal
- Warranty Hardware issues
- Network Connectivity
- Software installation
- Loaner computers (subject to availability and models may vary)
- Reloading your Operating System
Ultimate computer support also provides priority over all other computer support levels
Premium Computer Support
Provide customers with personal computer support in many areas, although some limitations will apply.
Requirements & Eligibility:- Computer must be one of the recommended consumer grade computers
- Warranty period has not expired
- Active student status
- Virus/Malicious software removal
- Network Connectivity
- Limited Warranty Hardware issues
- Operating System Reload (software must be provided by customer)
Standard Computer Support
Provide customers personal computer support for software related issues, although some limitations will apply. There is no hardware support available for Level 3 support.
Requirements & Eligibility:- Computer must meet all minimum computer requirements
- Active student status
- Campus Network Connectivity assistance
- Virus & Malicious software removal assistance
- Operating System Reload (software must be provided by customer)
Warranty Services
Warranty support is available on hardware issues for:
- Ultimate Computer Support
- Premium Computer Support
If you have purchased a computer that does not qualify for Ultimate or Premium computer support please contact your vendor to request warranty service.
