![]() | Toning Tool - (O) consist of three different tools.
They are from left to right respectfully:
The Dodge and Burn tools are based on traditional photographer techniques of controlling the amount of light that is used during developing the film. Less light is used to create a lighter image (dodge) and more light is used to over-develop or darken a picture (burn). In the below example a (really huge) brush was used to apply the tool to each of their respective tiles in the picture. The tiles on the top were selected and the specific tool was applied two times. The tiles on the bottom were selected and the respective tools were applied several times to show their exaggerated effect (since subtle changes are often hard to determine.)
