Hand Tool - (H)

Sure, we all know we can use the scroll bars to move the viewable portion of the picture (window). But if you're like me I usually click once or twice, drag a little one way and then the other, and finally get it almost where I want it. Well no more.

Using the Hand Tool you can accurately move the canvas around within the window opening. The nice thing is you can move the picture to where you want it. You don't have to mess with the scroll bars.

To use - just select the hand tool and click on the image and drag it.

If the entire picture already fits in the window - it won't move anything. This tool is used when looking at a portion of an image.

Tip: You can also hold down the Space Bar anytime while in Photoshop to bring up the hand tool.
Try it - it works.
