Evaluate the Time YOU Have

Everyone is different. Some people are good at math and others are good at English (example that seems to be prevalent in most people). The one constant that is shared among EVERYONE is time. Unfortunately, what we also share is tendencies to mismanage our time... perhaps even waste our time. For example, assignments get pushed back, promises get broken, chores get forgotten, and we tend to do that which is most pressing to us right now. In an effort to improve our effectiveness and reduce the stresses in many areas of our life, we have to be able to manage our time. Time management does not mean we must schedule every moment of everyday. Time management merely means we need to make ourselves aware of what we are doing, when we are doing them, and for how long we are doing them. Once we clearly see how we spend our days, our excuse of "I didn't have time" will undoubtedly fade away.

Think about the following: Regardless of your educational background, ethnic background, social status, academic abilities, and other related experiences:

Everyone has 168 hours in every week.
Everyone has 10,080 minutes in every week.

What is different is your ability to utilize your time.

What you do with these 10,080 minutes will determine:

    your success or failure
degree to which you are content or depress
degree with which you are respected.

Now there are obvious things that must occur that you don't have much control over. (examples: eat, sleep, etc.)

Most people sleep about 8 hours a day. That is only 56 hours a week. To be as alert and on top of things as possible YOU SHOULD GET YOUR SLEEP.

That leaves 112 hours that you are awake each week! Evaluate what you are doing with this time! Get a chart here and follow your activities for a day. You might be surprised what you are doing with your time.
